About Us

img_1539Servants for Sight was formed in late 2009 by physicians in Greenville, SC. After many years of volunteering their time and donating funds to provide eye exams, eyeglasses and eye surgery to disadvantaged people in South Carolina and in third world countries, they decided to unite their efforts and expand their reach.

Servants for Sight was founded with the mission to help disadvantaged people, both locally and abroad, get the eye care they need to lead productive lives in glorification of God.  Our goal is to follow the model of Jesus by bringing hope and healing to the world through the gift of sight.

By developing community partnerships and involving like-minded individuals, Servants for Sight has been able to reach many with the gift of sight. We are a a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization, and serve those in need by:

  • Providing eye exams, glasses and sight saving surgery for disadvantaged people in the upstate of South Carolina. Physicians donate their expertise while Servants for Sight funds the actual “out of pocket” costs that include: lenses, glasses, and surgery fees.
  • Training Christian mission groups  to include vision screenings and glasses as part of their mission trips. Servants for Sight provides all necessary training, equipment and supplies.
  • Providing eye exams, eye glasses and eye surgery in different countries around the world such as Ecuador, Haiti, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic. Servants for Sight takes international surgery trips to bring eye care to communities that have no access to care and to train in-country doctors to care for their people.

Our mission is about changing people’s lives with improved vision and spreading the word of God. Please contact us at info@servantsforsight.org if you are interested in helping or learning more about us.
